Shipping

Do you offer shipping promotions and free shipping?

Yes, we do! Our shipping promotions vary, but we typically offer free shipping for orders over a certain amount.

All decorated orders are shipped with free UPS Ground shipping. Expedited options are available at an additional cost.

My package was missing items, what gives?

Rest assured that you will receive every item in your order. We often split ship orders that have multiple items so you may receive your order in two or more packages that can sometimes arrive a few days apart.

We try to ship from the warehouse closest to your location, so you may receive your items as quickly as possible. Sometimes your entire order may not be available at one location and will therefore be shipped from more than one location. There is no extra charge for this service.

How fast do you ship? Can I track my order?

We ship extremely quickly. Yes, you can track your order. We provide tracking numbers via email and via online order status the night we ship.

For undecorated orders, except for Economy shipping, orders placed by 3PM EST ship the same day. Except for Economy shipping, the majority of our customers receive their orders within 3 business days. Economy shipping may add 1-4 business days before shipping. We also offer two day and next day shipping. Please note that any errors in the shipping address requiring correction will delay your order one business day.

For decorated orders, orders ship within 5-10 business days from proof approval.

Can you guarantee a delivery date or expedite shipping?

We ship extremely quickly. We offer two day and next day shipping. Except for Economy shipping, orders placed by 3PM EST ship the same day. Except for Economy shipping, the majority of our customers receive their orders within 3 business days. Economy shipping may add 1-4 business days before shipping. We are sorry that we cannot ship any faster than that and that we cannot guarantee delivery dates.

Do you ship to Canada or other international destinations?

We do not currently ship to Canada or other destinations outside the United States. We currently only ship within the 48 contiguous United States.

Do you ship to PO boxes or APO and FPO addresses?

No, unfortunately, at this time we do not ship to those addresses.

Do you ship to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and U.S. Protectorates?

No, unfortunately, at this time we do not ship to those locations.

Where do you ship from?

We ship from multiple locations throughout the United States. Your purchase will typically ship from the location that is closest to you so you get it as quickly as possible.

Orders consisting of more than one item may split ship from more than one location in separate packages that could arrive a few days apart.

Do you ship signature required?

To be safe, it's best to expect that your shipment will require a signature. Many orders are shipped UPS and they tell us that each UPS driver has the option of requiring a signature. So, to be safe, it's best to expect that you will need to sign.

We apologize if that's an inconvenience. Please just provide a shipping address where somebody will be present to sign during regular business hours.

Products

Do you sell new, genuine merchandise?

Yes, definitely. ALL our items are ALWAYS NEW. If the manufacturer affixes tags, tags will be attached. We DO NOT sell seconds, irregulars, or rejects. We also only sell genuine merchandise. All our merchandise is made by quality name brands that you know.

Keep in mind that most brands we carry have many different styles (i.e. models). We always list the manufacturer's style number in the description. If you or a friend has a similar item from a particular brand that is a bit different than an item you purchased from us, just check the style number. Odds are they are different. Or, it is possible that the other item was made in a different year.

How do I figure out what size to get?

Just see the “Sizing” tab on the product page underneath the product photo.

What are the size measurements for the clothes you sell?

You can find measurements on the “Sizing” tab on the product page underneath the product photo. Different manufacturers provide us with different types of measurements. Please consider the following important comments about measurements we provide:
  • Some measurements MAY be of the item laid flat. For instance, a width measurement may NOT be the distance all around a human body - it could be kind of just across your front. (You'll be able to tell.)
  • Many measurements frequently assume a taut fabric, but some measurements we have are really more as if the item was slack.

Will clothes from The Deal Rack shrink in the wash?

Many items that we sell are PRE-SHRUNK. Just check out the item description. You'll find this type of detailed info in the item description. If an item is not pre-shrunk and is 100% cotton, you should expect it to shrink as any other similar garment would shrink. Polyester-cotton blends and other synthetic fabrics will generally not shrink with proper care.

What do you mean when you refer to the fabric weight of an item?

When we list the fabric weight of an item, what we are referring to is the actual weight of one yard of that particular fabric used to make the item. The fabric weight does not have any correlation to the actual weight of the garment, rather the thickness of the material used to produce the item.

A typical t-shirt is about 5.2 oz. The range of weights for t-shirts that we carry is about 4.5 oz. to 6.3 oz. Most all the time, you can find the fabric weights of our clothes in the product description.

Custom Design & Decoration – General

What types of decoration or embellishment services do you offer?

We currently offer two types of decoration: screen printing (aka silk screening) and embroidery.

Popular for apparel decoration, screen printing transmits ink through a fine mesh or screen onto the apparel item or accessory. It is best for logos and non-photographic designs that require more exact colors. This is the lowest-priced option when large quantities of an items are needed.

Embroidery uses a commercial sewing machine with a needle and thread to create a design or image on fabric. The image is sewn in to the fabric resulting in a raised design.

What is your turnaround time?

We work hard to get your orders out as quickly as possible. Orders ship within 5-10 business days from proof approval.

What types of fabrics and products are best for embroidery?

Each of our product pages only offers decoration methods that are suitable for that product. So, if you can select “embroidery” for a product on our site, it should be ok. Even so, here are some basic rules for embroidery:

Dos: Cotton, linen, and wool. It is best to choose a strong fabric with a tight weave. Almost any type of fabric, including 100% polyester can be embroidered.

Don’ts: Loosely knit fabrics. We cannot embroider on leather, velvet, mesh or other non-standard fabric types.

Popular products: polo shirts, button down shirts, baseball hats, outerwear.

What type of fabrics and products are best for screen printing?

Each of our product pages only offers decoration methods that are suitable for that product. So, if you can select “screen printing” for a product on our site, it should be ok. Even so, here are some basic rules for screen printing:

Dos: 100% cotton is ideal, but cotton polyester blends work well too. 100% polyester is possible with special, higher-priced inks.

Don’ts: Textured fabrics generally don’t work well, such as ribbed tank tops, knit beanies, and fleece pullovers. Any nylon products such as windbreakers or any item with a nylon lining can only have 1 color designs. Other items that aren’t suitable include visors, 6 panel hats, and anything made of clear materials.

Where can you print on items?

We currently can put your design on one location per piece. Here’s a list of the possible locations, but see the placement menu on the page for the product you want to customize.

Possible placements: Front full, Front top, Back full, Back top, Left chest, Right chest, Left sleeve, Right sleeve, Left leg, Right leg, Left side, Right side.

Where can you embroider on items?

We currently can put your design on one location per piece. Here’s a list of the possible locations, but see the placement menu on the page for the product you want to customize.

Are there any places you cannot embroider?

We cannot embroider pockets (without stitching it shut) and hat bills. Logos on visors can be no taller than 1 inch (but may need to be smaller based on item). Hat logos can be no taller than 2.25 inches.

Will you fold and polybag my items when production is complete?

All shirts are folded at no cost. We do not polybag at this time.

Custom Design & Decoration – Your Graphic

Do you require an image file?

Generally we do, but there are situations where one is not necessary. The reason is that with direction, our design team can create or recreate your design. This is a service we provide for free to help you get your project rolling and ensure your design looks great. Examples follow.

Text only designs: simply provide us with the text, color(s), and font preference (if any). Online image: If an image, such as your logo, is available online, simply provide us with the URL, and we can either grab the image or recreate it. Reproduction: So long as it does not infringe on copyrighted material, a photo of an old design is generally sufficient for us to recreate it. Sometimes this is a great option when a customer has an old screen printed t-shirt they want to make more of.

FYI, you can place your order before your graphic is ready.

What are your requirements for image files?

The best types of image files are source files, vector art files such as Adobe Illustrator (.ai), and very high resolution images.

That said, part of our service is for our design team to review and repair your image file(s). So, even if you don’t have an ideal image file, we can probably still use it.

Send us whatever you have and we will do our best to work with it.

Will you keep artwork on file?

Yes, of course. We’re focused on making reorders quick and easy. This is one way we do that.

Do you charge to clean up the artwork I send?

No, that is a free. Our design team will review and repair your image file(s) as part of our service. When complete, we’ll email you a proof within 1 business day. We will connect with you during that process if we have any questions about your design.

Will I get a proof before my order goes to production?

Yes, of course – at no additional charge. We will email you a digital proof within 1 business day. Your proof will contain the image, dimensions, colors, and location of the print on the garment. Once you approve your proof, we’ll produce your project.

What’s the smallest text size for embroidery?

For embroidery, letters must be at least 1/4 inch high. Otherwise, some of the letters will be illegible.

How many colors can I use for my design?

For embroidery, up to 12 colors.

For screen printing, for orders over 144 pieces, up to 7 on white apparel, up to 6 on non-white. Orders under 144 pieces have lower possible colors.

How do you match the colors I provide in my image file?

Our designers operators are experts with a lot of experience. Accurate color reproduction is one the things they’re very good at.

If you have specific PMS colors you need used, we can do that upon request. Just let us know when placing your order.

What is vector art?

Versus a bitmap image such as a JPG or GIF, a vector image is created using vector illustration programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, and Corel Draw. Vector images can be resized without loss of quality.

Pricing and Ordering

Do you offer discounts for bigger purchases?

We do certainly offer discounts for larger purchases. Coupon codes are available on our site. Call us if you can’t find them. We also offer free shipping for orders above a minimum value. If you're purchasing more than $1,000, please contact us with the details, and we can see if we can do something extra for you!

You’ll see that prices for custom designed products include significant discounts for larger quantities, and, coupon codes are still applicable to those discounted prices.

Why are some colors or sizes more or less expensive than others?

Our prices are based on what our suppliers charge us. We try to give our customers the lowest possible prices. That means that if a supplier charges us less for a particular size or color, we also charge less.

Sometimes you’ll see a lower price for items that are the color white. White items generally cost us less from our suppliers, and we do charge less for them. Sometimes smaller sizes will have lower prices too.

Can I send you changes to my order with my payment or in comments fields?

We apologize for any inconvenience, but generally, no, we cannot do that.

Of course, if you’ve placed a decoration order, then there is obviously back and forth regarding your design.

Can I cancel my order?

If you placed a decoration order (e.g. screen printing), then yes, we can generally cancel the order so long as you notify us before you approve the proof.

For orders without decoration, you can always call us to give it a try, but because we ship so quickly, we generally are unable to intercept and cancel an order once it has been placed. Of course, if you change your mind about a purchase, you may return the item(s) in accordance with our return policy.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and Paypal.

Can I pay by check or money order or C.O.D.?

No, we apologize but we do not currently accept those payment methods. We accept all major credit cards and Paypal.

Do you charge a setup fee for custom design orders?

No. There are no setup, digitizing, screen, or proof charges.

Do you have minimums for custom design orders?

Yes. We have a 12 piece minimum for screen printing and a 6 piece minimum for embroidery.

Do you have any satisfaction guarantees?

Do you accept returns?

For undecorated merchandise other than underwear, yes, certainly! We have a satisfaction guarantee, and we accept returns! Read our guarantee and return policy.

Decoration orders (e.g. screen printing) are not returnable, but we do guarantee those orders to be right. Normally of course they are, but if we make a mistake, we’ll take care of it. Read about our decoration guarantee.

Can you do exchanges?

Except for underwear, for purchases without decoration (e.g. screen printing), we do accept returns, but we cannot do exchanges. Please read our return policy and either complete the form or contact us before attempting to make a return.

Where do I send my return?

Please either complete our returns form or contact us before attempting to make a return. We will assign an RA number to your return and give you the proper return address (there are multiple possible locations).
